Samba de Amigo is a rhythm game for the Dreamcast in which you shake and position maracas in time with Latin pop and dance tracks. Notes travel toward six points on screen, arranged high, middle and low on the left and right, and you match them by holding the maracas at the matching height and shaking on the beat. Additional prompts ask you to strike poses or hold patterns for bonus points. Amigo, a maraca-playing monkey, fronts the game's bright carnival presentation. The game supports Dreamcast's maraca peripheral, and can also be played with a standard controller. Modes include single-song play, longer sets across difficulty tiers, and two-player competition, with scoring based on how closely your shakes land on the beat.
