Soul Calibur Legends takes the weapon-based fighting series into action-adventure territory on Wii. Instead of one-on-one arena matches, you move through stages populated by groups of enemies, cutting through them with combos performed using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Sword swings are tied to motion input, with attacks, blocks and special moves layered on top of the movement controls. Familiar warriors from the Soul series appear as playable characters, each with their own weapon and attack style, and you can switch between unlocked fighters as you progress. Stages are broken into missions linked by story sequences involving the search for the cursed sword, and a second player can join in for cooperative play. Between missions you can strengthen your characters and equipment for later stages.
