Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike on Dreamcast is a hand-drawn 2D fighter built around the parry, a forward or down tap timed against an incoming attack that negates damage and leaves the attacker open. Before each match you pick one of several Super Arts per character, each with its own gauge length and stock count, which shapes how you play that fighter. The roster carries over the Street Fighter III cast alongside returning series characters and fighters introduced in this version. Animation is detailed, with individual character intros, taunts and reaction frames. The Dreamcast release includes arcade mode, versus, training and additional modes such as parry practice, plus the game's trademark bonus stage. Standard six-button controls apply.
