Super Bonk is a side-scrolling platformer starring Bonk, the bald caveman who attacks by headbutting. You run and jump through prehistoric stages, bouncing off enemies with your skull, biting onto walls and ceilings to climb, and slamming down from a jump to stun everything nearby. Eating meat and other items transforms Bonk, changing his size, appearance, and abilities for a stretch of play, and various other pickups trigger their own temporary effects. Levels are built around exploration and timing, with bosses at the end of stages. The presentation leans on cartoon slapstick, with exaggerated animations for Bonk's transformations and reactions. It is a straightforward action platformer with a simple attack set that gets extended by the transformations you pick up along the way.
