Super Off Road on the Super Nintendo is an overhead-view off-road racing game. Every circuit fits on a single screen, letting you watch the whole track and all the trucks at the same time while you jockey for position across dirt, jumps, and obstacles. Races last several laps, and contact with rivals is expected rather than punished. Money won from good finishes goes toward upgrades between events, including speed, tires, shocks, and extra nitro boosts you fire off for brief surges of acceleration. Later tracks add tighter turns and more hazards, so upgrade choices carry weight.
