Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars is a crossover fighting game pairing characters from Tatsunoko's anime catalogue with Capcom's game roster. Fights are two-on-two tag battles played on a 2D plane with 3D character models, and you can swap partners mid-combo or call them in for assist attacks. The control scheme uses three attack strengths plus a partner button, which keeps special moves and super combos reachable without lengthy inputs. Meter builds as you fight and can be spent on supers or on team-based attacks that bring both characters onto the screen at once. The Wii release supports multiple controller setups, including the Classic Controller and arcade sticks, and includes online versus play alongside arcade, versus and training modes. Stages, music and presentation draw from both companies' properties.
