Tetris DX is the Game Boy Color version of the falling-block puzzle game. You rotate and place tetrominoes to complete horizontal lines, which clear and drop the stack above, with the drop speed rising as you progress. Alongside the standard endless game, it adds modes with different goals, including a race to clear a set number of lines, a timed session where you score as much as possible before the clock runs out, and a mode that starts you with a partly filled well. Colour graphics distinguish the piece types, and the cartridge saves high scores and player profiles. Two-player competitive matches are supported over a link cable. The game runs on Game Boy Color hardware and can also be played on the original Game Boy in monochrome.
