Sword of Osiris is a side-scrolling action platformer for the Game Boy Advance built around The Scorpion King. You control Mathayus with sword attacks and can also play as Cassandra, switching between the two characters, each with different abilities suited to particular obstacles and enemies. Levels are set in deserts, tombs and temples, mixing combat against soldiers and creatures with jumping, climbing and light puzzle work that often requires swapping characters at the right moment. Boss battles close out areas, and you can find upgrades and magic-based attacks along the way. The presentation uses detailed sprite artwork and parallax backgrounds typical of GBA action games, with story text between stages tying the action to the film's ancient Egyptian setting.
