The third entry in the Ty the Tasmanian Tiger series keeps the Australian outback setting and third-person action-platforming of the earlier games. You control Ty, using boomerangs of various types as your main weapons against enemies and as tools for interacting with the environment. The game is mission-driven, sending you out from central areas to complete objectives that mix combat, platforming, rescue tasks and collection goals. Vehicles and piloted mechanised suits feature alongside on-foot play, adding heavier firepower and different handling to certain sections. New equipment and upgrades become available as you progress. Environments cover outback landscapes and settlements, with optional collectibles placed away from the main path for players who want to explore.
