Wizards and Warriors III: Kuros - Visions of Power is an NES action platformer that returns to the knight Kuros, this time in and around a walled town and its castle. Rather than moving through a fixed sequence of levels, you explore an interconnected map, entering buildings, sewers and towers as they open up. Kuros can join guilds that grant him distinct roles, each with its own abilities and equipment: a knight focused on sword combat, a thief suited to stealth and climbing, and a wizard who uses magic. Guild members hand out tasks, and completing them earns rank and access to new areas. Combat is direct and side-on against guards, monsters and bosses, while item use, keys and money bought from shops support the exploration and puzzle-solving between fights.
