Worms on the Sega Saturn is a turn-based artillery game played across 2D destructible landscapes. Each side controls a team of worms, and players alternate turns moving a single worm, choosing a weapon and lining up a shot. The arsenal includes bazookas, grenades, shotguns, dynamite and larger explosives, along with tools like the ninja rope and blowtorch for reaching awkward positions or digging through terrain. Wind strength shifts between turns and affects projectile arcs, while every explosion carves away scenery, gradually reducing the map to narrow ledges above the water. A turn timer keeps rounds brisk. You can face computer opponents or hand the controller back and forth for multiplayer matches, and teams can be named to suit the players involved.
