WWF Rage in the Cage is a wrestling game for the Sega CD featuring World Wrestling Federation performers of the period. It makes use of the CD format for digitized presentation, including video and audio touches around the matches and wrestler entrances. In the ring you fight from a side view, mixing strikes, grapples, irish whips and finishing manoeuvres while the referee counts pinfalls and enforces the ropes. As the title indicates, cage matches are part of the package, where escaping over the top of the steel structure is a way to win in addition to pinning your opponent. Standard singles and tag matches are also available, along with tournament-style play and options for competing against a second player.
