Yggdra Union is a tactical role-playing game for the Game Boy Advance, part of Sting's Dept. Heaven series. You follow Princess Yggdra of Fantasinia after her kingdom falls to an invading empire, gathering allies as she fights to reclaim it. Battles play out on grid maps, but each turn is driven by cards: the card you select sets how far your units can move, which special attack is available, and how long the turn lasts. When units clash, the fight resolves as an exchange between the two forces, with weapon types, terrain and morale affecting the outcome. Positioning matters because adjacent allies can be pulled into a single Union attack, letting several units strike together. The story is told through dialogue scenes between battles, with branching choices along the way.
