Dungeon Dice Monsters adapts the dice-based game seen in the Yu-Gi-Oh series rather than the trading card game. Each turn you roll dice bearing symbols, and matching results let you either build a path of connected squares across the board or summon a monster onto it. The goal is to advance your dungeon toward the opponent's side and reach their life points while blocking their route toward yours. Monsters occupy the board directly, so movement, positioning and blocking pathways are as important as attacking. You collect new dice with different monsters and abilities as you progress, tailoring your set before a match. The Game Boy Advance version uses a top-down board view with menu-driven turns, and supports play against another player by link cable.
