The Sacred Cards is a card-battling adventure for Game Boy Advance that follows the Battle City storyline from the Yu-Gi-Oh series. You travel around the city on a map, talk to characters, and challenge duelists you meet along the way, earning cards and money for each win. Duels use a simplified version of the trading card game: monsters are summoned based on level and a Deck Capacity limit rather than full tribute rules, and card types have a rock-paper-scissors style advantage system against one another. Between duels you build and edit your deck from the cards you collect, buy new packs, and work toward tournament matches against familiar opponents. Play is single-player, with card trading and duels available through the link cable.
