A top-down action-adventure for Game Boy Color, one of two linked Zelda titles released alongside Oracle of Seasons. Ages leans toward puzzle solving: Link gains the ability to travel between the past and the present of the land of Labrynna, and changing something in the earlier era alters the landscape you find in the later one. Dungeons and overworld routes often require moving between the two periods to shift blocks, grow trees or reroute water. Combat and exploration follow the familiar formula of sword, shield, bombs and a growing set of tools. Completing the game produces a password that can be carried into Oracle of Seasons, linking the two adventures and unlocking extra content and an extended ending across the pair.
