A side-scrolling action platformer for Game Boy starring Zen, a ninja character drawn from the comic series of the same name. You move through stages laid out horizontally, jumping across platforms, avoiding hazards and defeating enemies with melee attacks as you work toward the end of each level. The comic's environmental themes carry into the game's setting, with pollution and industrial imagery appearing among the backdrops and enemies. Presentation is typical of the handheld's monochrome library: sprite-based visuals on the small green screen, chiptune music, and control limited to the directional pad and two face buttons. Progress is made stage by stage rather than through an open map, with boss encounters closing out sections.
