This Game Boy Advance release brings Disney's Aladdin to the handheld as a side-scrolling action platformer. You play as Aladdin, moving through stages drawn from the film's settings, including the streets and rooftops of Agrabah, the Cave of Wonders and the palace. Aladdin swings a scimitar at close range and throws apples to stun enemies from a distance, and he can climb, hang from ledges and use the momentum of ropes and poles to cross gaps. Levels mix combat with platforming hazards such as spikes, pits and moving platforms, and gems and other pickups are hidden along the way. Story sequences tie the stages together as Aladdin, Abu and the Genie deal with Jafar. Controls are simple, built around running, jumping and two attack options.
