CT Special Forces is a side-scrolling military action game for the Game Boy Advance. You control a counter-terrorist operative through a series of missions, moving left to right on foot while shooting enemy soldiers, clearing emplacements and reaching objectives at the end of each stage. Your soldier can crouch, jump and take cover, and weapon pickups scattered through the levels supplement your standard rifle with heavier firepower and grenades. Alongside the on-foot sections, the game breaks up its missions with vehicle and turret-style sequences that shift the perspective and gameplay style. Environments move between jungle, desert and urban settings as the campaign progresses. Play is arcade-like, built around memorising enemy placements, managing limited health and ammunition, and working through checkpoints toward each mission's end.
