A Game Boy Advance reworking of the original Double Dragon. You play as Billy or Jimmy Lee, fighting through city streets and enemy strongholds to rescue Marian from a street gang. The core beat 'em up structure of the arcade game is retained, with punches, kicks, jumps, grabs and throws, plus pickups such as bats and whips taken from downed enemies. This version expands the move list with additional techniques and combo options, and adds extra stages and enemy encounters that were not in the original coin-op layout. Two players can fight through the game together on linked systems. Enemies attack in groups from both sides, and stage bosses require learning attack patterns rather than trading hits.
