Driver 3 on Game Boy Advance adapts the console game's driving missions to a handheld, top-down presentation. You drive around city streets taking on jobs that involve chases, pursuits, timed deliveries and escaping the police, steering through traffic and using handbrake turns to make tight corners at speed. The overhead camera keeps surrounding roads and pursuing cars in view while you navigate. Vehicles take damage as you crash into traffic and scenery, and failing an objective or wrecking your car means retrying the mission. Sections on foot are included alongside the driving, with combat and objectives handled from the same overhead viewpoint. Play uses the Game Boy Advance D-pad for steering and the face and shoulder buttons for acceleration, braking and other actions.
