Breakin' Da Rules is a Game Boy Advance game based on the animated series The Fairly OddParents. It is built around side-scrolling platform stages in which you guide Timmy Turner through environments taken from the cartoon, jumping across platforms, avoiding hazards and dealing with enemies. Wishes granted by his fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda shape the abilities and situations you encounter, and levels mix running and jumping with items to collect. Cutscene panels and sprite-based cartoon visuals present the story between stages, with characters from the show appearing throughout. Stages are short enough to suit handheld sessions, and the controls are kept simple, using the D-pad for movement and the face buttons for jumping and attacking. The game is aimed primarily at younger players familiar with the series.
