Road Rash Jailbreak brings the series' motorcycle combat racing to the Game Boy Advance. You ride against a pack of rival bikers on public roads, and finishing well matters as much as staying upright: opponents crowd you, traffic blocks the lane, and a crash costs you time while you climb back on and remount your bike. Alongside the throttle and brake you have close-range attacks, throwing punches and kicks at riders who pull alongside, and weapons can be taken from rivals and used against them. Police pursue racers as well, adding pressure to keep moving. Races take place across a series of courses, with earnings from strong finishes going toward better machines. Controls are built around simple two-button attacking and steering rather than simulation-style handling.
