Robots is a Game Boy Advance game based on the animated film about a world populated entirely by machines. You control the young inventor Rodney Copperbottom through side-scrolling stages, running, jumping and climbing through the mechanical city while dealing with hazards and enemy robots. Combat and puzzle-solving make use of scavenged parts and gadgets, and collected items can be used to upgrade or repair equipment as you progress. Levels are built around the film's settings and characters, with sequences that break from the standard platforming for different objectives. The presentation uses colourful sprite artwork and stills drawn from the movie to carry the story between stages, keeping the game aimed squarely at younger players and fans of the film.
