Salt Lake 2002 is a Game Boy Advance sports game based on the Winter Olympic Games held in Salt Lake City. It is built around a selection of winter events, so play moves from one discipline to another rather than following a single continuous mode. Each event uses its own control scheme, typically combining timed button presses and directional input for things like starts, turns, jumps and landings, with results measured against times or scores. You compete under a chosen nation and can work through events in sequence or practise them individually. Presentation uses the official Olympic branding and venue names from those Games, with sprite-based athletes and event-specific camera angles. As with most handheld Olympic titles, sessions are short and the appeal lies in learning the timing of each event to improve your results.
