Super Mario Advance 3 is a Game Boy Advance version of Yoshi's Island. You play as a succession of Yoshis carrying Baby Mario across the island, passing him from one Yoshi to the next at the end of each stage. Yoshi eats enemies with his tongue and turns them into eggs, which are then aimed and thrown at targets, switches and distant items. Instead of a life bar, taking a hit knocks Baby Mario loose in a bubble and starts a countdown while you scramble to recover him. Levels use a hand-drawn crayon and pastel art style, and each hides red coins, flowers and star pieces that determine your score. Transformations turn Yoshi into vehicles such as a helicopter or submarine. The arcade game Mario Bros. is also included.
