Super Mario Ball is a pinball game for the Game Boy Advance in which Mario himself becomes the ball. A cannon launches him into tables built from Mario Kingdom locations, each table split into vertically stacked screens with flippers on every board. Rather than chasing a high score alone, you work toward objectives: defeating enemies such as Goombas and Bob-ombs, collecting stars, opening paths and eventually reaching Bowser. Bumpers, warp pipes, blocks and item-dispensing panels take the place of standard pinball furniture, and mushrooms and other power-ups can be picked up during play. Losing the ball off the bottom of a screen sends Mario back down through the table, so keeping him alive across several boards is the main challenge. The presentation uses pre-rendered 3D-style sprites.
