Sword of Mana is an action RPG for the Game Boy Advance and a remake of the Game Boy title Final Fantasy Adventure, part of the Mana series. At the start you choose to play as either the hero or the heroine, and their perspectives cover the same story from different angles, with the other character often traveling alongside you. Combat happens in real time in the field, mixing sword swings, charged attacks and magic cast through elemental spirits. You gather and forge weapons and armor, allocate stat growth as you level, and solve light puzzles using tools and abilities to reach new areas. The presentation uses detailed hand-drawn sprite work and a full color palette, with towns, dungeons and overworld regions connected across a fantasy world.
