The Game Boy Advance version of Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams reworks the console sequel as a side-scrolling platformer. You control Tak, a young shaman-in-training from a jungle tribe, running and jumping through 2D stages while fighting enemies and gathering items. Progress depends on the usual platforming toolkit: timed jumps, moving platforms, hazards to avoid and simple combat, with juju magic woven into Tak's abilities. The handheld build uses sprite artwork and a stage-based structure rather than the open 3D hub areas of the home console release, so it plays as a companion take on the same story rather than a direct port.
