Scary Dreams is a Game Boy Advance platformer built around a nightmare theme, with Buster Bunny making his way through a series of spooky, dream-logic stages. You run and jump through side-scrolling levels filled with hazards and monsters, defeating enemies and reaching the end of each area, with boss fights closing out sections. Characters from the Tiny Toon Adventures cartoon appear along the way in supporting and antagonist roles. The stages use haunted-house and horror-movie imagery filtered through the show's cartoon style, with large sprites and detailed backgrounds taking advantage of the GBA's color palette. Controls stay simple, focused on movement, jumping and attacking, making it a straightforward handheld platformer playable in short sessions.
