Universal Studios for the Nintendo GameCube is a minigame collection set inside a recreation of the Universal Studios theme park. You move around the park grounds and take part in short activities modelled on the resort's attractions, each with its own goal and control scheme. Individual games draw on well-known Universal properties, including shark-hunting on the water, a Back to the Future themed driving sequence, an E.T. bicycle flight and a Jurassic Park dinosaur encounter. Completing activities earns you rewards that unlock further content within the park. Presentation leans on the theme park setting, with park areas, crowds and attraction facades tying the separate games together. It is aimed at younger players and casual sessions, with each activity playable in a short sitting.
