Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions is a mission-based driving game set in a Hong Kong city environment, presented here on Nintendo GameCube. You take on short, timed assignments behind the wheel, chasing down targets, escaping pursuers, ramming vehicles and reaching checkpoints before the clock runs out. Missions are organised into separate storylines, letting you tackle the city from more than one perspective. The handling is arcade-oriented rather than simulation-focused, with heavy drifts and forgiving collisions that encourage aggressive driving. Much of the scenery reacts to impacts, so street furniture, signs and other objects break apart as you plough through them. Because individual missions are brief, the game leans toward repeating runs for faster times, and completing objectives unlocks additional vehicles to use in later attempts.
