XGRA continues the Extreme-G series of futuristic bike racing on the GameCube. You compete in a televised racing league, riding armed machines around enclosed circuits at extreme speed while using weapons on rivals and defending against incoming fire. The career structure frames events as broadcast competition, with teams and sponsors, and success in events unlocks further races and equipment. Different bikes vary in speed, handling and toughness, and boost management is central to setting quick laps. Beyond the career mode there are single races and time trials, plus split-screen multiplayer. Tracks feature tunnels, loops and steeply banked sections, and the presentation leans on blur and lighting effects to convey velocity. Handling is arcade-oriented, rewarding memorisation of course layouts and timing of boost and weapon use.
