New Play Control: Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is a Wii version of the GameCube side-scrolling platformer, reworked so that it is played with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk instead of the DK Bongos. You guide Donkey Kong through jungle stages built for constant momentum, swinging on vines, bouncing off walls and gliding between platforms. Collecting bananas builds a beat count, and chaining moves and hits without touching the ground multiplies what you earn. Each kingdom ends in a one-on-one fight against a large animal boss, where you dodge attacks and then land punch combos during openings. Your total beats at the end of a stage determines how far you progress. The Wii release also adds new stages alongside the reworked controls.
