The Umbrella Chronicles is an on-rails shooter for Wii that retells events from earlier Resident Evil games and adds material covering Umbrella's downfall. Movement is handled automatically as the camera travels through each stage; your job is aiming with the Wii Remote, shooting enemies and weak points, reloading, dodging attacks and shooting crates and objects for ammunition and healing items. Chapters cover scenarios connected to the mansion incident, the train facility from the prequel and the destruction of Raccoon City, with different playable characters attached to each. A second player can join at any time for cooperative shooting. Between stages you upgrade weapons using points earned for accuracy and performance, and hidden files scattered through levels expand the background story. Compatible with the Wii Zapper shell.
