Sega Superstars Tennis brings characters from Sega's game series together for arcade tennis on the Wii. Matches are played with simplified shot controls covering topspin, slice and lobs, and each character has a superstar move that can be triggered once charged, briefly disrupting play in their favour. Courts are themed on Sega franchises, giving each venue its own look and details. Beyond singles and doubles exhibition matches, a mission mode strings together tennis challenges and minigames built around those same themes, unlocking further characters and courts as you progress. Local multiplayer is supported for matches with friends, and the Wii release makes use of the system's controller options. Tournament play and quick matches are also available for single-player sessions.
