Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a 3D platformer for the Nintendo Wii that continues the gravity-bending planetoid design of its predecessor. You guide Mario across small worlds where you can run around the outside of spheres, launch between them, and deal with shifting gravity fields. Levels are selected from a world map, and Power Stars earned in each galaxy unlock further stages. Yoshi is playable in many levels, using his tongue to grab enemies and objects, and eating certain fruit to inflate, glow, or dash for a limited time. Mario's own power-ups include forms for drilling through planets and rolling on a ball. The Wii Remote's pointer collects Star Bits and interacts with objects, and a second player can help with a pointer. Bosses punctuate each world.
