Wonder Dog is a side-scrolling platformer for the Sega CD in which you control a cartoon dog through a series of themed stages. Play centers on running and jumping across platforms, avoiding hazards and dealing with enemies that patrol the route, with items to collect along the way. Levels are built around timing your jumps and learning enemy placement, and boss encounters cap off sections of the game. Bright, hand-drawn style sprite work and layered backgrounds give it a Saturday-morning cartoon look, and the Sega CD hardware supplies a redbook audio soundtrack and animated presentation sequences that frame the adventure.
