This is the PlayStation Portable version of Breath of Fire III, the turn-based role-playing game originally released for the PlayStation. You follow Ryu, a member of the Dragon Clan, from his youth through adulthood as he tries to learn what happened to his kind. Parties of three fight menu-driven battles, and Ryu can transform into dragon forms assembled from genes you collect. Characters can learn skills from enemies using the Examine command, and the Master system lets them apprentice under teachers who change stat growth and grant new abilities. Between story chapters the party camps and talks, and a fishing minigame is available at various waters. The handheld release presents the same adventure in a portable format.
