Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact is a PlayStation Portable action game built around fighting large numbers of enemies at once. Instead of duels in small arenas, you take control of a ninja in open battlefield stages and cut through crowds of opponents with combo strings, chakra techniques and powered-up transformations, with tougher named characters appearing as bosses. Missions follow the Shippuden storyline, told through cutscenes and mission briefings between fights, and you unlock additional playable characters as you progress. Support characters can be assigned to your team to assist during battle, and collected items let you adjust your setup before a stage. The cel-shaded art style matches the anime, and stages are sized for handheld sessions, so individual missions can be finished fairly quickly.
