Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast on Xbox is an action game starring Kyle Katarn. It opens with blaster-based first-person combat before Kyle reclaims his lightsaber and Force abilities, after which the camera can switch to a third-person view for saber fighting. Lightsaber combat uses three stances with different speed and power, and you build up Force powers on both light and dark paths, including push, pull, speed, mind trick and lightning. Levels take you through Imperial facilities, Nar Shaddaa, Bespin and other Star Wars locations, mixing gunfights with platforming, switch puzzles and duels against Dark Jedi. The Xbox release includes multiplayer modes built around saber duels and team play, and the campaign is the same one that appeared on PC.
