The New Droid Army is an action-adventure game for Game Boy Advance in which you play as Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars era. The view is overhead, and you move Anakin through levels set across several planets, fighting battle droids and other enemies with his lightsaber while using Force abilities to move objects, affect enemies and solve simple environmental puzzles. Progress involves exploring level areas, finding switches and items, and talking to characters who set objectives. Blaster bolts can be deflected back at enemies with well-timed saber use, and health and Force energy are managed through pickups found along the way. Boss fights punctuate the chapters, and cutscene text and stills carry the story between missions. The game uses sprite-based graphics with digitized Star Wars sound effects and music.
