King of Dragons is a side-scrolling fantasy action game, adapted from the arcade original, in which you fight through hordes of orcs, lizardmen and other monsters on the way to boss encounters with dragons and other large creatures. You choose from a set of character classes, including a sword-wielding fighter, a cleric with a mace, an elf archer, a dwarf and a wizard, each with different reach, speed and attack patterns. Defeated enemies drop treasure and equipment upgrades, and your character gains levels that raise attack power and vitality as you progress. Stages are structured as short journeys across castles, caves, forests and mountain paths. Two players can fight together at once on the same screen, sharing the enemy waves and item pickups.
