Mega Man Soccer is a Super Nintendo sports game that puts the series' robots on the pitch. Teams are made up of Mega Man characters, including robot masters, and each player has its own stats and a signature special shot that produces exaggerated on-screen effects when charged. Matches are played from a side-scrolling perspective with standard passing, shooting and tackling controls, plus goalkeeper play. Modes cover exhibition matches, a league or tournament structure, and two-player games where you can compete against a friend or play on the same side. Field hazards and character abilities give matches a more arcade feel than a simulation, and the presentation uses sprite art and music in keeping with the Mega Man games of the era.
