World Class Track Meet is an athletics game for the Nintendo Entertainment System designed for use with the Power Pad floor mat. Instead of pressing buttons, you run in place on the mat's pressure sensors, with your stride speed translating directly into your athlete's pace on screen. Events cover track and field staples such as sprinting, hurdles and a relay, where jumps and hurdle clearances are timed by stepping at the right moment. Up to several players can compete in turn, with finishing times recorded and compared afterwards. A player registration screen lets each competitor enter a name before racing. The game can also be played with a standard controller, though it is built around the physical activity of the mat.
