Panzer Dragoon Orta is a rail shooter for the original Xbox and part of Sega's Panzer Dragoon series. You play as Orta, a young woman who escapes imprisonment and takes to the skies on the back of a dragon. The camera follows a set flight path while you aim freely at enemies in all directions, using a lock-on reticle to fire homing shots at multiple targets or rapid single fire at close range, and you can rotate the view to cover threats behind and beside you. The dragon shifts between distinct forms with different mobility and firepower, such as a lighter glider and a heavier armoured type, encouraging switching to suit each encounter. Stages are set across a bleak science-fantasy world of ruins, deserts and vast machines, with boss battles closing out sections and unlockable extras available after play.
