Raze's Hell is a third-person action shooter for the original Xbox. You play as Raze, a spiny, misshapen creature whose home is overrun by an army of relentlessly cute, doll-like beings led by their queen. The game plays the contrast between grotesque hero and saccharine enemies for dark comedy throughout. Combat mixes melee strikes with a range of projectile weapons and abilities, and levels send you through enemy settlements clearing out opposition, destroying structures and taking on larger bosses. Enemy types are varied enough to require different tactics, and the environments are built to be knocked apart as you fight. Multiplayer modes support competitive play for several participants, including split-screen options alongside the single-player campaign.
