Play Action Football is Nintendo's American football game for the NES. You pick formations and plays from a playbook before each snap, then take control on the field for passing, rushing, kicking and defence. The presentation uses an angled view behind the offence that scrolls as the ball moves, with receivers selected by button press during passing plays. Teams are unlicensed and identified by city name, and you can play single games or a run of matches toward a championship, with time and quarter settings adjusting the length of a contest. Two players can compete head to head on one console. The pace sits between arcade simplicity and playbook strategy, asking you to read the defence and then execute the play yourself.
This listing is for an authentic original cartridge — no reproductions. Every product we sell is cleaned and tested before it ships, and our games are backed by a 1-year warranty. Choose Game Only or Complete (CIB) above.
