This NES game adapts the Roger Rabbit film, casting you as Roger as he tries to clear his name. Play mixes exploration with action: you move through Toontown and the surrounding areas, entering buildings, talking to characters and hunting for the pieces of evidence that will prove Roger innocent. Jessica Rabbit and Benny the Cab both figure into the adventure, and driving sequences break up the on-foot sections. Enemies patrol the streets and must be avoided or dealt with, and phone booths can be used to gather information as you go. The structure is more open than a straight-line platformer, so much of the game involves working out where to go next and what you still need to find. Presentation follows the cartoon look of the film.
