WWF WrestleMania Challenge is a Nintendo Entertainment System wrestling game using the World Wrestling Federation license. It presents the ring from an angled, semi-overhead perspective that lets wrestlers move around the mat rather than along a single line. Controls cover punches, kicks, running attacks and grapples that lead into throws, slams and each wrestler's signature finisher, with pins attempted once an opponent is worn down. Alongside the licensed roster, you can compete as a generic created character. Modes include one-on-one matches, tag team bouts and a multi-wrestler survival match where you face a series of opponents in the same ring. A second player can join in, and matches can spill outside the ropes while the referee counts.
